Alberta Blogging: Why Fox Creek?

13 May

Early in the morning, on Saturday May 4th, my mom, my son, and I boarded a plane for Toronto.

In Toronto, we waited an hour and a half, then boarded another plane for Edmonton.

In Edmonton, we waited for my younger brother and his girlfriend and then we all drove three hours north west, headed for Fox Creek. On Saturday May 11th, we did the whole thing backwards. Suddenly, the trip was over. We were left with amazing memories and the promise of future adventures.

Why would we go to Fox Creek?

There’s not much to do.

There’s not much to see.

But we don’t go for sight seeing and amazing tourist experiencies.
We go for this guy:

This amazing guy named Jesse keeps us coming back to Fox Creek!

This amazing guy named Jesse keeps us coming back to Fox Creek!

My mom doesn’t need to hop on a tour bus. She’s perfectly happy relaxing, cooking for my brother, and walking around the tiny town.

I don’t need expansive shopping malls. I’m perfectly happy watching tv with my brother and just being in the same room as him, talking about ridiculous things.

RJ doesn’t need amusement parks, expansive zoos, and swimming pools.

All he needs is:

Some Lego

Some Lego…

Some boxes...

Some boxes…

a cat...

a cat…

a big truck...

a big truck…

a playground...

a playground…

a cat...

a cat…

a hill...

a hill…

a balcony...

a balcony…

Did I mention a cat?

Did I mention a cat?

And most of all?

His Uncle Jesse!

His Uncle Jesse!
